Meet the Artisans
Hunada: Jewelry Designer
A native of Syria, Hunada grew up in Morocco and is now raising her own family there. She has received training in jewelry metalworking in Paris however, she has perfected her craft mostly on her own in her design studio in Rabat. Hunada has a beautiful soul and this is reflected in her unique jewelry designs. Her pieces are truly handmade with love.
Fatima Zohra: Painter and Potter
Fatima Zohra is a passionate artist and apprentice at a ceramics studio in Marrakech. She is creative and full of artistic ideas and dreams for her future. When she is not at the studio perfecting her skill, Fatima Zohra can be found at her university where she is obtaining a degree in English Literature. She also has a powerful spike on the volleyball court!
Abdelaziz: Metalworker
Abdelaziz has a gentle spirit and is very proud to share photos and stories of his family. I discovered his shop in Marrakesh by chance and he invited me in to see the cooperative of artisans where he works alongside other metal and leather workers. While we did not share a common language, Abdelaziz has a humanity about him that is undeniably infectious.

Meet Our Founder

Stacy's first experience in Morocco was as a teenager. Her father was a diplomat and she attended the Rabat American School. These years gave her an early appreciation of Morocco as she traveled the country to its beautiful coastal towns, ancient cities, the desert, and the majestic Atlas Mountains.
Many of her memories of Morocco include tagging along with her mother to every souq possible from Tangier to Marrakesh and everywhere in between in search of the most unique artisanal goods. She learned to appreciate the artistry of handcrafted products as she watched craftsmen and women demonstrate their skills at places such as the leather tanneries and ceramic studios in Fez, the Khemisset Carpet Market outside of Rabat, and in the wood carving market in Essaouira.
She never could have imagined that a few decades later she would be visiting the same souqs, working closely with talented artisans to develop a line of home décor and lifestyle products for High Atlas Moon.
